Julián Andrés Bewig (born in Lima/Perú) studied at the Folkwang-Hochschule in Essen, Germany, where his teachers included Prof. Sieglinde Ahrens (organ) and Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Grandjean (composition). He graduated in Catholic Church Music in 1996 followed by post graduate studies with Ben van Oosten at the „Hogeschool voor Muziek en Dans“ in Rotterdam, Netherlands, which culminated first in a Diploma and in 2002 in a Soloist Certificate for Organ Performance.
As a composer Julián Bewig has primarily written for organ, piano and chamber music. Some of his works are published by Rasmus-Verlag, Düsseldorf, Germany. On concert journeys he played throughout Europe, Russia, Japan, Peru, Canada and the United States.
At present Julián Bewig recorded 23 CDs with all styles of organ music from the baroque (Julian BEWIG plays BACH Vol. 1 - 4) over German Romantic (Max Reger, Sigfrid Karg-Elert), French Romantic (Louis Vierne, Augustin Barié, Germaine Labole etc.) and English Romantic to contemporary composers such as Andreas Willscher and Enjott Schneider.
Julián Bewig is the organist of the church Santo Ángel Custodio en Valencia, Spain.
